KD Construction Team is owned and operated by Fermin Martinez who has been developing his skill with construction trades since 1990 and obtained his Class B General Contractor License with the State of California in 2004.

 

That’s the raw data… but those simple facts don’t tell the whole story… which reads like a classic American Success.

Fermin was born and raised in El Salvador, the son of a successful dairy farmer. He and his brothers went to university in the capital San Salvador and earned advanced degrees in Agricultural Engineering.

​

After school, Fermin and his brothers returned home and quickly doubled their father’s business by applying their new found knowledge and skill to increase the farm’s efficiency through better breeding practices and other improvements.

​

Towards the end of the 80′s and beginning of the 90′s, the civil strife in El Salvador became too much to bear, and Fermin uprooted and moved to California seeking greater security and opportunity.

​

His intelligence, aptitude, and hard-working nature became quickly apparent to the general contractors he met while searching for work, and he was quickly promoted into supervisory roles.

​

After 14 years gaining experience working for others… essentially running their construction businesses, Fermin struck out on his own and used his family ties to build up a construction team of his own. Thus was born KD Construction Team in 2004.

Today Fermin is a married father of 3, working hard every day side by side with his reliable team of skilled workers who he mentors and supervises personally.
